SCULPTURAL CERAMIC LAMPS

Design, build, and finish a unique ceramic light fixture. This five week class will cover basic considerations for sculpture planning, instruction in slab and coil building techniques, and lamp component sourcing. The supply fee is included in the tuition and covers 22 ½ pounds of clay, tools, glazes and firing.

Students will order lamp components on their own after the first class when lamp designs are finalized.  They can expect the lamp kits/component parts to start around $30, they go up from there depending on finish and electrical components. Lamp kits may be ordered from Antique Lamp Supply

Ages 16 and up!

Andrea Clark holds a BFA in Ceramics from the University of Kentucky.  Her work was shown most recently at Marcia Wood Gallery in Atlanta and Latent Space, Chicago. She has completed ceramic residencies at Greenwich House Pottery, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, the Hambidge Center for Creative Arts, and Township10.
