THE ART OF PORTRAIT DRAWING - STEP-BY-STEP
Instructor: Carol Kelly Dorn
This course will concentrate on the basic techniques of rendering a portrait likeness. It will begin with understanding the powerful elements & principles of art - particularly form, value, texture, proportion, the interplay of light & shadow, etc. General characteristics of faces from various vantage points will be discussed & practiced, after which the class will concentrate on capturing the subtle differences that make each face unique.
