STILL LIFE PAINTING

This course will address the basics of setting-up and composing an appealing still life. New and continuing students will be guided in the painting process using the tools of composition, color, value, intensity, contrast, hard and soft edges, brushwork and careful observation. Through instruction, demonstration and individual attention, this course will benefit beginning and more advanced painters. Beginners will learn an entry-level and approach to the wonderful and challenging world of oil painting. More advanced painters will enhance and refine their skills as they are introduced to additional methods for painting still-life compositions that are appealing and compelling. A supply list will be provided upon registration.
