FIGURE DRAWING IN COLOR: OPEN MEDIUM

In this class, students will learn to use vibrant colors to capture the figure. Come prepared to experiment!  Continue to explore the human figure -- all mediums welcomed, with recommendation of oil pastels, soft pastels, and color pencil. Advancing from graphite and charcoal, students are encouraged to explore a variety of mediums and combinations in this class, especially color! Drawing from a live nude model each week, this class will concentrate on how to break down the human figure into simplified forms, capture the weight and motion of a gesture, and use light and shadow to make drawings come to life. Beginning and more advanced students are welcomed.
