Learn to capture the light, atmosphere, form and pattern in nature and in the landscape through quick sketches and longer studies. Discover, with the lush tones and the rich language of mark, what’s possible with charcoal, graphite, ink, silver point and Conté while you develop skills in spatial concepts and composition. Inspiration from flowers, natural objects, master landscape drawings and photographs will be the springboards to experiment with these mediums. Develop your ability to observe, translate and transform to create unique compositions. Your observation can be enhanced by memory and invention to develop a personal vision. Demonstrations of the use of materials and individual support will accompany each session.
